In The Beginning Poem by Myleena Love

I sit alone, eyes swollen
With my heart broken.
From all the pain I feel inside,
Wondering when our love died.

Everyday we live in misery,
Neither one of us will leave.
Just how much will it take?
Before you and I separate.

How did we get to this?
Is there something that I missed?
We’d have to go back to the beginning,
Way back to before you made me feel giddy.

How did we go from love to hate?
When we met we thought it was fate.
Now I sit and reminisce to when met.
That’s a night I’ll never forget.

You captivated me from the start,
Swept me off my feet and stole my heart.
So, where did it all go wrong?
Now we can’t even get along.

I want to leave you desperately,
I can not take anymore of your badgering.
I don’t know why we constantly fight.
I no longer care who’s wrong or right.

I can’t do this anymore,
I know I should walk out that door.
But, something seems to keep me from leaving,
Maybe I can’t forget how it was in the beginning.
