Is It Me? Poem by Myleena Love

I’ve loved and lost a thousand times,
With every love, I thought, “This is it, this time,
I found the one, we love each other nothing can go wrong.”
A year or two later, he's gone; it was one way love all along.

Why is it so hard for some to commit.
I can be overwhelming with love, I admit.
But, that’s only because, I have so much feeling.
I can’t help to express that from the very beginning.

I am honest and true and I won’t lie to you.
I’ll be devoted, loyal and committed to you.
I don’t ask for much back, just a hug or two.
Maybe an occasional, I love you.

I don’t understand, what I do to lose,
Every love in my life, I thought was true.
Is it me, am I doing something wrong?
But, in the beginning I could do no wrong.

I watch other couples with envy, “Why can’t I have that? ”
It starts out perfect, and then in a few months, the love goes flat.
Am I doing this to myself; I’d sure like to know,
So I can tell myself, “Stop it.” And I won’t feel so low.

Then maybe just maybe I can try again.
This time I’ll try to hold all those emotions in.
And maybe I won’t scare very love away,
And maybe, just maybe, that new love will want stay.
