In the beginning I was,
Appointed as the caliph on earth,
To rule over his realms,
As per the delegated powers;
I was asked not to follow Satan;
But, I have just started doing,
My assignment.
I have entered into a covenant,
In the beginning: -
I will not love but the Truth;
His word is the absolute truth;
All sovereignty belongs to Him;
But, I have just started abiding,
By the primordial covenant.
To understand the essence of life;
How could I get hopeless of knowing,
The Essential Truth,
That's manifest fully and perfectly,
In His wonderful creation;
But, I have just started to see Him,
In His glorious manifestation.
To witness by divine intellect,
Justice and mercy,
Of the Just and Merciful God;
How can divine intellect fail,
To attain to The Truth?
But, I have just started witnessing,
His unconditional love.
How it might be possible,
To get knowledge and wisdom,
Unless I suckle the beast divine?
Mother's milk is so sweet and healthy!
How can I be ungrateful?
But, I have just started suckling;
Surely the river of Life water,
Is already flowing from You to me;
I know I've my source in you;
The Necessary Being!
But, I have just started drinking.
Surely I cannot know The Truth...
Unless I become as innocent,
As I was in the beginning,
When you of me took a covenant;
But, I have just started being innocent.
Not yet! Not yet!
Too many promises I've broken
I must mend my ways,
I must fulfill my promises.
But, I have just started keeping,
My promises.
Too many evil deeds and sins,
I have done over my lifetime;
I cannot know the Truth unless,
I be righteous;
But, I have just started being righteous.
I have, God be thanked, begun,
To know the strength and power
That God has vested in me,
When He blew into me His spirit;
But, I have just started knowing myself.
So much of the reality is unfolding
That must complete its exposure
So much is yet in bud, waiting,
To blossom, I am confident.
But, I have just started seeing,
The beauty manifest before me.
