In The Courtyard Of The Saints Poem by Sumita Jetley

In The Courtyard Of The Saints

In the courtyard of the saints, where silence sings,
The golden dome beneath the heavens rings,
Sufis gather, lost in timeless dance,
Spinning to the rhythm of divine romance.

Their robes, like petals, swirl in sacred air,
Each step a prayer, each breath a whispered care.
Hands raised to skies, feet bare on holy ground,
In every spin, the echo of the One resounds.

Some in prostration, heads bowed low,
Surrendering their hearts, where love's seeds grow.
Others in dhamaal, lost in joy's embrace,
The world fades, but not the seeker's trace.

The dargah watches, ancient and wise,
A silent witness to these soulful cries.
Where rich and poor, the lost and found,
Are equal in this sacred ground.

Oh, seekers of truth, the path you roam,
Is not through cities, but in your heart's home.
In every turn, in every fall,
You rise to meet the Beloved's call.

In Sehwan's light, beneath the dome's gaze,
You find the peace for which a lifetime prays.
For in the courtyard, where saints once trod,
You lose yourself, and find your God.
