The light of passion shines!
The summer heat
How obstinate
It is:
Yet in the night

And winter frost
And neighing wind
Behind the window panes
And doors:
And the shrill call
Of nightingales
In Spring:
No difference will make:

You use a single word to great effect, namely, long. Its repetition means its meaning spills over and embraces not just temporal duration, but also additional meanings like faithful, enduring, true. committed - all words which contain the sense of lengthening experience. Besides this poem expresses the sheer joy of passion. The experience is heightened awareness of things we usually take for granted. But you reveal how the magic of night sheds an irresistable spell.
