In The Memory Of My Sweet Rose (My Feline Daughter) Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

In The Memory Of My Sweet Rose (My Feline Daughter)

My sweet Rose with fur so white,
Lime green eyes shone so bright.
You slept beneath the water tank,
And walked upon the roof's high rank.

You found your shelter under trees,
And adopted me, your mother, with such ease.
You loved me like a baby, soft and warm,
And in my lap, you'd find your happy form.

Sneezing with a flu but still so strong,
A resilient cat where others would have gone wrong.
Loving, caring, and so beautiful,
Your spirit will forever be magical.

Your birth mother may have disowned you, my dear,
But in my heart, you'll always be near.
The day we said goodbye, on September 6th,
Will never be forgotten, a day of sorrow and regret.

But now you roam in the Garden of Eden,
Strolling and playing, free from all burdens.
I miss you, my darling Rose, but I know,
In my heart, your love will forever grow
