In The Middle Of A River Poem by Sam Sam

In The Middle Of A River

In the middle of a river, my heart sings
'The silence of this loneliness has given me wings'

'No one's here to manipulate my thoughts or adhere
their gloomy charm to my innermost layer'

'Imprisoned in this freedom, I wonder
what would it be like to surrender! '

'To surrender to the waves and the wind
To heat of Sun and the sky's grin'

'Oh I wonder, what could I discover in this wilderness
where nothing is to see, and the more I travel is less'

'Or should I strive to return to the colorful life
where attractive paintings make me an experienced naive'

'But between this endless desertedness, I feel so complete
On this boat of Love, for a map, there is no need
I can close my eyes, and it takes me wherever I say
The waves push me up, and wind leads to the right way'

'The heat melts my fears, and the sky showers its smile
Water turns into mountain, and the boat lets me hike.
I listen more than I say, and ears put words on my lips
I wish not to wake up from this dream of endless trips.'

'Oh the Owner of my soul, I am all yours
I don't want to step on those separating shores
The shores that take me away from the river of thy beauty
I plead with you to hold me closer, where I'm free.'

In the middle of a river, my heart sings
The song of reality on harmony's strings
