In The Morning When I First Arise. Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

In The Morning When I First Arise.

Rating: 5.0

When in the morning when I first arise,
the first rays of the sunrise greet mine eyes.
I truly find God's special glory in the
colorful hues of his blessed skies.

I arise and greet the new day neither fearful,
nor afraid. For Ihave an everlasting father
who keeps my spirit completely unafraid.
I have complete confidence in him.

And it is to my Father who art in heaven,
I dedicate my newest morning hymn of praise.
For his special blessings will remain
by my side until the very ending of mine earthly days.

When in the morning I first arise, and gently
wipe mine eyes I ask and I pray will you
be sending your only begotten Son,
Jesus Christ to rescue your bride of Christ this day?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I composed this hymn as it first came to me. I find it ironic because I am not an early morning riser. This poem was a gift from God which I decided to share with all of you.
