In The Name Of Allah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

In The Name Of Allah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful

In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful,
Our hearts are filled with gratitude; so beautiful.
For Allah, the Lord of all the worlds we praise,
And seek His blessings in every possible way.

Master of the Day of Judgement, we bow to You,
And ask for forgiveness for every wrong we do.
You alone we worship, and to You alone, we pray,
For guidance and strength to follow the righteous way.

Guide us to the Straight Path, O Allah,
That leads to success and everlasting Salaah.
The path of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace,
Whose good deeds and faith have left a lasting trace.

We seek refuge from the path of those who earned Your anger,
And those who went astray, and ignored Your message clearer.
In Your mercy and compassion, we place our trust,
And pray for Your guidance in all that we must.

In the name of Allah, the Most Kind the Most Merciful,
We turn to You for help and support so bountiful.
May our hearts always be filled with Your love and light,
And our deeds be pleasing in Your sight

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sura Fatiha, also known as Al-Fatiha or the Opening, is the first chapter of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. It is considered to be one of the most important chapters of the Quran and is recited at the beginning of every prayer. The sura consists of seven verses, which are believed to contain the essence of the entire Quran. The verses praise and glorify Allah, seek guidance and help from Him, and affirm the belief in the Day of Judgement. It is also believed to be a supplication to Allah for forgiveness and guidance, and a declaration of one's devotion and submission to Allah. Sura Fatiha is considered to be a fundamental part of Muslim prayer and is recited multiple times a day by Muslims all around the world. Its importance can be seen from the fact that it is also known as Umm al-Kitab, which means Surah Fatiha: 'Mother of the Book', and is considered to be the foundation upon which the entire Quran is built.
