In The Past? Poem by Nina Salazar

Not a year has gone by,
Without you I’d go insane, I’d die,
But now you’re who I love most,
Even when faded away, a ghost.

Stood by me these past few months, days,
Before, my heart going through a maze,
From the poem to now something I found out,
Then I knew what it was, no doubt.

Cheering up every time I saw you,
Something I didn’t think was true,
Now almost together, something I ask,
Will it all be left in the past?

More than anyone,
More than a friend, maybe the one,
Am I just thinking ahead?
Or am I leaving something unsaid?

I’d take the bullet, I’d fight until I passed away,
I only have three words to say,
Well, with no further adieu,
I love you.
