In The Trenches We Stand Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

In The Trenches We Stand

In the trenches we stand
And tread here and there
The mud in the trenches
And yet there's Redemption through Golgotha!

In the churches there's
Incense and shrines lighted
But here there's mud and deep mud and
We keep treading, treading,
In a hope of Redemption through the Golgotha!

And we hope
And we pray
And we trudge in the trenches
And we pain without tear
And we sacrifice
Yet in more Golgotha there lies the hope of Redemption!
