I am safe and secure here,
In my mother's loving womb,
I know she loves me so much,
But still I hurt her sometimes.
She can feel me when I move,
She wraps her pain in joy,
And keeps me warm always,
With all her love for me.
My dad is so busy with work,
But he tries to hear me often,
I tried to call him 'Dad',
I know it is not time for that.
The doctors are so kind,
They look for my 'well being',
They hear my heart beat,
And will see me coming out one day.
My Mom protects me from,
All the shocks and diseases,
I don't want to hurt her more,
But she never feel it a 'hurt' at all.
One day will come when,
I will see this beautiful world,
Created by the great Lord,
In the womb of this universe.
Who knows what is kept there for me,
I know it won't be like here,
But I don't fear anything,
For my Mom and Dad are there for me.
One day should I leave my mother's womb,
But I will love my mother always,
For she is the angel sent by good God,
To bring me up in His world.
I will cry when I am born,
And spread the joy all around,
They too are waiting for me,
But not yet, still months to go.
good theme for a poem gr8 thougts....really a work from a genius..
i like the way you have expressed the feelings from the perspective of a yet-to-be-born child... its a lovely poem, Lal... welcome to PH... best wishes, Asma...
This is a splendid theme for a poem and you have written it with great compassion. I do however think that the poem is too long - sometimes it is necessary to cull words in order to paint an uncluttered picture. See if you can express your idea in half the words. But most importantly - keep writing and reading others poetry. love, Allie xxxxxxxxx
