In This Place Poem by Joseph Anthony Montefusco

In This Place

In this place
Each step I take
Is filled with pain

Left continuously follows right
Slowly driving me insane

Alone in my fight
I still have to try
I can never stop

The control is not mine
I'll die if I stop

All around are signs
Of a life full of crime
Theres no place to save

The ground I walk is paved with blades
Stomping my way to my grave

Happiness for life I trade
Why am I in this place?
I guess I'll never know.
