In Your Absence

I cannot sleep tonight,
For even in your absence,
You fill my every moment.
Your face eludes me,
Your laugh echoes round,
Round my room, round my head.
I long to hold your hand,
Yet you remain just out of reach.
I cannot sleep tonight,
Knowing that when I wake,
You will not be there
To wake with me.
