In Your Absence - Poem by Geeta Nair

In your Absence
I go down the lane of memories
To cherish those beautiful moments
We both spent together.

In your Absence
My heart pains
And my eyes weep
To say I miss you.

In your Absence
My eager eyes search you
Anxious ears waiting to hear you
And my lonely heart calls you.

In your Absence
I feel alone in the crowd
Darkness in the bright sunny day
And silence in this noisy world.

In your Absence
As the restless waves reach out for shore
And at dusk ocean wait to swallow the sun
I am waiting for your return.

Let us feel HIS presence! We shall never be worried about that 'absence'! (Report)Reply

Loving and longing for someone to come makes our hearts wish for reality...how come its often not heard? Lovely poem, top mark. (Report)Reply
