In Your September Years Poem by Oreu Leunoto

In Your September Years

Rating: 4.8

Would life always matter as time?
To you and your friends!

Long after the good times
Have ended and come to a trickle from flood?

Long after your former mastered limbs
Revert and heed another drummers speak?

Long after cherished friends
Have departed one after another to a place of no return?

Long after your journey
Back to childhood after adulthood you have returned?

Long after the body your inhabit
Fails to match the spring in your spirit or might of experience?

Long after your past is lost
To a memory you can no longer recall?

What does it matter if Time is lost as life?
For you despise Time and what she has done to you!
And she no longer courts you with same enthusiasm she shown you in your youth.
