Inaaya Poem by Ibn Ali

Inaaya

Inaaya
You have more than most
So many clothes
Mountainous food
A lovely home
Where your smile is fuel
But more than this
Two parents
And you're loved by both
And the ones that love them
Love you too
Two good hearted people
And an uncle
Who's seen you in your father's smile
That joy filled face your mum inspired
But he's yet to meet you
Despite this
Anything I own is gifted
But it's yours, my sweet
If you ever wished it
I'd give a lung or both eyes
My only heart, I'd keep it clean
But we pray you never need it
My soul I'd try to purify
And keep your father's council
I'll see you soon but till I do
Inaaya just keep smiling
