Inauguration Day Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Inauguration Day

Rating: 5.0

The streets of Washington are crowded now
with clusters of citizens waving signs-
legions untold of devout fans
chanting for a rock star
to lead the nation
into change!

Dark clouds on the horizon
move toward the heedless mobs
in the streets who raise a shout
for the rock star
the messiah
who promises
salvation
in change!
