Individual Poem by Austin Wheeler

Individual

I'm an individual.
I devour til I'm full.
I know all.
Blame it on school.
I alone will find the answers.
But I'll also make up the questions.
To invent and cure every cancer:
Magic to convert the Christrians.
I've been one soul since birth.
Separate from the rest of Earth.
Even I know my own worth.
And apart I shall be,
Until I can no longer look at me
Or gaze above the empty sea,
Or set fire to an omniscient tree
With only words because I'm able
Let team players live in their stables.
Try to save the world from my lone grip.
Their dream of success is still a fable.
Even without me the world would slip
Into nothing eventually so leave a tip.
Solitude does strange things to your mind like a trip.
Watch me now...backwards I flip.
Does the antichrist have to be one person?
