Ineffable Poem by RIC BASTASA

Ineffable

: Too great to be expressed in words.

the mighty mountains
of Bulawan
the brown chocolate hills
of Carmen
the crystal waters of El
Nido
the fragile hands of the
newborn
in her crib in tranquil presence
as soft as the fog on the
forest trees
the blue skies, the fluffy clouds
the dainty butterflies hovering
on gigantic sunflowers
the whispers of the blowing winds
the falling of leaves
the chirping birds and the choir
of cicadas
we are still finding the words
for some events
the simply express themselves
without the rules of syntax
and the limits of grammar
