Infatuation Poem by Dereck Gibbs

Infatuation

Rating: 5.0

Bleeding profusely
An ignorant statue
You watch the blood flow
You’re lost to my hurt

I hide within myself
Foolish pride made me cry
This unrelenting affection I have for you

Unrequited love
I tried not to care
As sure as the sun greets me
You, Angel are on my mind constantly

Intruder alert
Neon signs flashing red
My mind screamed in warning
Wasted shouts that fell on deaf ears
