Infection - Poem by Lyssa Renea
The global infection is upon us,
As the world gets weaker,
The infection grows stronger.
The terror it brings causes mayhem.
The carriers are everywhere.
This infection destroys our Earth.
The place we are supposed to call home.
Why do we let it grow?
Why won't anyone stop it?
It grows and grows.
Why won't someone speak up,
Get a group of people and rise?
Would it matter? Would you listen?
No, I don't think you would.
The problem is,
The infection… it's.. it's us.
Every single person ruins the world,
Bringing the problems,
Causing things to get worse,
No one cares to beat it.
We hurt and destroy our world.
Does anyone care?
No, I don't think so,
Otherwise the infection would leave us.
Anger, hurt, pain,
All a part of it.
This infection in us
