Inferno Poem by Anisa Tara

Inferno

Rating: 5.0

I hate these words I've penned,
Reminders for all time.
All my words scream of you,
Every syllable and every rhyme.

This was no love lost,
No courage, bravery,
The sentences I've coined,
From the deepest despondency.

They build up an effigy,
Of a person who never cared.
Poems pierce my being,
This heart still in repair.

I'll light it up tonight,
A hatred I cannot undo.
Burn every last shred,
Every utterance of you.
