Infinite Memories Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Infinite Memories

With so many words,
we’re better off in silence.
Not a thing need be said.
I’d caress you’re skin with my hand,
as if for the first time.
We’d stare into eachother’s eyes,
as the world would pass us by.
It’d be too easily to live like this,
with you.
I held your face as gentley as possible,
before I’d stolen a kiss.
Another..and then another.
Running my fingers through your hair,
I wrapped my leg around you.
This won’t last,
and soon it will fade.
I will disappear,
as will you.
We made love,
with nothing but tattoo’s and piercings between us.
Two people couldn’t possibley get closer.
If only for a moment,
you and I were everything.
So infinite,
and incredible.
We held to our words,
with whispering ‘I love you’s’.
We held to eachother,
through such memories.
