Ingratitude Poem by Ontomu William

Ingratitude

You gave me life
Yet I deserve none
You gave me eyes
Yet I deserve no sight
you gave me limbs
yet I deserve to crawl
You gave me utterance
Yet I deserve to be muted
You gave me ears
Yet I ne'er hearken
You gave me free
Yet I ne'er GIVE but for a penny
With all these seven
I have chopped
I have torched
I stir contempt and hatred
From his hatchery
I hasten to evil
And strive in vain
As in anarchy
For the naught of life
Yes,
You gave a living heart
To a dead person
who only deserves
Death

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We never do the best, we never do any good quite often. We are always doing what is wrong, running after stars only to get scars at the expense of another's life, causing pain and triggering hatred.we are always on the wrong driving lane and forcing our God to the corner of indignation
