"Inhumanity" Poem by SANJIT MANDAL

"Inhumanity"

Have experienced the loss of
Light like a candle in the crashing storm,
That demolishes to the tiniest article on the earth,
Which doesn't possess a heart of kindness or pity
On the articles laying in the penomenon, ''Nature''
But still, it has the laws of longlasting.
Here come the assassins bringing dullness behind
To contravene the laws of nature,
Keep yourself out of their sight,
Don't let them put their Satanic eyes on you,
Do collect boldness around you like the shield of Achilles,
So that the ghost of sadness can't overtake you,
To send you to the unreachable sphere.
Feign to be sent to that sphere
Smearing blood around you- -
'' I am unable to endure the brutality,
Oh! Almighty! Put your gracious hands on
The comrades of mine; on whom
Bullets are being showered,
Do something instantly-
Hey, you, the Almighty,
People say you can do anything
To preserve your creation-
We are not any exception
(Merely innocent high school students)
Like my parents; parents of their also,
Must be waiting to meet the bright eyes,
Which are thought to be the future of them.
Now, when in place of days' learning child,
Dead bodies will be received from the school buses,
What thunder will fall upon them?
A thunder in a storm, which will burn
Every leaf of their lives to ashes.
'NO, no, no, Lord, let them know that,
They don't fathom what they are doing'."
