Inner Call Poem by Pranjal Rajiv Bagadiya

Inner Call

Alone in the path, amidst the darkness;
I started my journey with eagerness.

Unaware of the rules of the world;
I set off in the search of worthy mould.

To transform myself into distinct light.
Unknown of the world's view and sight:
On success and failure, rich and poor!
'Conquer the darkness! 'I told as I stood
on the moor.

At that time I valued my thoughts&values;
Morals & ethics, taste & preferences.

When I stepped into the world;
I saw everything being purchased & sold-
Loyalty, values, principles and attitude.
I refused to follow the worldly lines
And made conscience my guide.

As I freed myself from worldly trap;
Success turned out harder at every step.

Most times I found myself in solitude;
But I accepted the fact with gratitude.

Solitudeness took me closer to myself
And worldly affairs stood illuminous
itself.

It was then I realised-
'Satisfaction is the state of the mind.'

Greed thou engulfed most of the man;
Driven him away from all that can
Drive him closer to himself!

Greed thou transformed man into parasite;
That feeds thyself on pieces of heart and
soul!
And makes him bereft
Of humanity and good conscience.

But at the end.....
Worldly pleasures fail to entertain
And leaves you with a pot:
Holding misdeeds and misgivings lot!

So wake up, my dear mate;
Before you go asleep.
And decide for thyself-
As to shape LIFE as a BOON or BANE?
