Innocence Poem by Jacob Torrisi

Innocence

Shes been waiting in the dark
for a long time,
Her eyes
are the window to her soul.
The glass blood-shot,
it looks like a homicide,
She took a hit from her blunt, headshot its suicide,

Purity was stolen a long time ago
Innocence was raped
killed and thrown on the side of the road. Now, what's left is a hardened heart and a bag of bones.
She's lost all hope
Now, her goal is to sell herself
like a billboard
till her name is known
on the top 100

But does she know
There's a shepard who leaves the herd and seeks for the one lost sheep?

Does she know there was someone who was naked, afraid, lifted up, and abandoned to feel like they couldn't move like their hands were pierced along with their feet?

Does she know there's one who loves her because of love and not by the look of her physique who formed her and knew her before she was born?

He told her

'You are mine. Make me your God, and you will be my daughter,
And youll be royalty now that you're from the kings line'
