Insanity Poem by Cami Cates

Insanity

Rating: 5.0

Insanity, insanity
You take, I give
My body broken
But still I live

The sights I taste
The sounds I smell
Have trapped me in
My personal Hell

Bound by hate
Eyes ablaze
I wonder this
Deadly maze

Around the corner
Demons stare
As vultures glide
Throughout the air

Looking into
My shattered mind
I see the world
I left behind

The hideous demon
Never leaves me alone
Uses my body
As its own

I hear the screams
Through my tomb
The laughter follows
Like a sonic boom

On the ground
In thriving pain
My body rips
And fluids drain

Fearing the creatures
I begin to cry
Hoping and praying
That I could die

The blow I felt
A shot to the heart
Unfortunately
It was just the start.
