We have a mutual feeling of being insecure
Afraid of the love we would have to endure
This notion of ours, we couldn't find a cure
Refusing to fall victim to each other's lure

We have a mutual feeling of letting go of love
And wait patiently for the day we see the stars above
What I gave to you, you said it wasn't enough
Now we wonder if we think about each other as much

We have a mutual feeling of being insecure
And I'm reminded of the times of when our love was pure
If you had of been real, I would have loved you for sure
Never will we resolve this problem both mine and yours
