My heart is an empty closet
Nothing left to wear
My bedroom is full of ghosts
That perpetuates this ongoing nightmare
I couldn’t clean up my insides
When my outsides showed its true self
None of my dreams are worth saving
You won’t find them on the shelf
My life is full of people who don’t understand
That sorrow is my only friend
Every day its rains, soaking me to the bone
And all my secrets are always on the mend
Every mirror in here is broken
Shattering every thought that spills out
Every beat of my aching, breaking heart
Is scarred and marred with doubt
So there’s no question, I’m mired in mud
Stuck inside a tomb of desolate remains
In desperate need of immediate cleansing
Of the pains running through my veins
As soon as I learn the lesson
Of letting go of these invisible chains
