Inside Skies Poem by Bridie Latona

Inside Skies

Rating: 5.0

What I have inside is vast and broad and bigger than I let it be.
Sitting in my chest and bursting at the seams.
Such small spaces to come beyond,
But wide as spreading seas.

Such a stretch of imagination and courage,
To live what is inside of me,
To be what is inside.

There are vast oceans of silent knowledge and energy. Beyond the daily limits of comforts and trivialities,
Of silly passing phases of time and conversations.

There are vast dreams of brilliance and of radiance,
Of standing tall in light,
Of compassion ready to defend and fight.
Beyond what I see in front of me,
Beyond what others see of me.
Can I show myself to be
All that I have inside?

Pressing against the inner of my skin,
Wanting danger and lightening.
It is swift and still as clouds can be
When the stormy sky is thundering.

All I have to do is let my skin
Be translucent,
Let it in
And let it out
Beyond the world and back again.

To truly live as dreams do live
And breathe as dreams do breathe,
I am full and ready to begin,
There is readiness to the brim.

Will I ever be
All that I have inside of me?
