Insomnia - Poem by Skylar Kendall

Sleep, sleep, sleep
I cannot
As her thought
Begins to rot

To rot my heart
To take my soul
I loved her so much
Yet she left me here to rust

My light hangs from above
Hardwood stained of whiskey
My hand begins to cramps
Slow ticks of the clock

Hour upon hour
As night sheds its skin
It shows the day soon to break
And so begins the public display of heartache
