Before I wrote about you,
My poems sucked,
Nothing I could do,
Made me feel like my writing was good

You inspired me,
Made me feel like my writing mattered,
I was so happy,
You mean so much to me

You have been my inspiration,
You are the reason I write,
And even though we don't talk,
You're still on my mind

It's sad,
But I still love you,
It makes me mad,
Especially since it's been a year

You're a great friend,
Very caring,
Always there for someone,
I miss us talking
