Inspire me oh Lord I pray
For I know less than I think
I wake up each morning to say "I will be there"
Nothing's changing
How long will I keep it straight?
Days on a count
I bend not

As I say "Our Lord's prayer"
I wake for the daily bread
Grace me with thy presence
I keep all day pressing
For time, they say "waits for no one"

In your hands I commit
I dare not demit
For as you permit
So the light transmits
Though I wrong, I stand for a remit
