Intentions Unclear Poem by John Millington

Intentions Unclear

Last words scrolled on a note
A testamony I did dearly devote
I feel my time has reached it's end
Empty of hope no one can contend
A far away goal
Life's taken it's toll
Through tear ridden eyes
I cast over my final goodbyes

As I think I find
Lost souls left behind
Do I walk my path
Ignore aftermath
But sense sees me straight
Not tempted by bait

I picture teary eyes
Under blackened skies
After the final sung hymn
I feel my life will begin

Repenting my final sin I pray
Please Lord forgive me this day
To a better life I'm driven
Where I hope acceptance is given
