Internal Seasons Poem by Blake Nox Gama

Internal Seasons

"So, tell me, how do you feel? "

Today is an azure, cloudless sky

Where the sun can shine with all His pride,

With all His light and at the peak of His reign

I can smile as sure as the Sun and believe it

Could last for eons and outlast all other stars.

"So, tell me, how did you feel? "

Yesterday was an abyssal, moonless night

And without Her guiding light I felt like a child

Without a home, lost without a name, wandering

Blind when I found a crossroad. Probably took a right turn

Because I found you along the way.

"So, tell me, how will you feel? "

I shuffled the cards and all the imagery and symbols

Clashed into nihilism. I asked the stars, but they were

Too cold, too arrogant, too far away. Anxiety slithered

Its tentacles around my stomach and I bit my lip,

What should I tell you? Then I looked up.

I saw the sun shining down on me, smiling

Speaking of forever and I couldn't help but smile back.

"Good, it will be good."
