Sea Captain Poem by Blake Nox Gama

Sea Captain

It was the time of times
10 of cups! The Star! The Fortune Wheel—
Fortune Wheel? Yep, kid, Time doesn't produce easy rhymes
But the forecast is sunny skies and rainbows, that's an easy deal.
Though I see clouds in the sky, no storm shall frighten
Me, for my sails are steady and strong
I may even laugh in the rain and sing with the thunder. It won't last long—
So before the tide changes, it's eternity when there's lighting. Taste it before it's gone.
The North indeed calls me, but the other directions won't go unseen.
The wheel was spinning wildly under the wims of sea and wind
Now it rests in between my hands and the roaring, keen
Wind feels like home, roses blossoming on Winter, it's not the end.
It was the time to face, to embrace the night, be born in flames and shine
Savor the voyage like wine. Ahoy, captain! You crossed the line,
That's what made you divine.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In the tarot 10 of cups and The Star are cards which foresay great, positive things, whereas the Fortune Wheel represent the changeable nature of things (the ups and downs of life) .
The captain controls his ship, like he controls his fate which makes the whole tarot/divination sound ironic.
