Tears are falling on my ears this morning
Driven to the earth from heaven’s pain
Knifing sheets of crystallizing ocean
Slicing through my heart and soul in vain
I watch from safety, here within my closet
Staring out the glass as branches bend
Hiding from the turbulence of living
Keeping to myself, my thoughts within
Praying arms are pleading but for solace
Darkened skies are crying for the light
Branches breaking underneath the burden
Wrenching, weighted, wailing at my plight
Still I huddle here in warmth and silence
Holding close my pseudo harmony
Blinded by denial of precision
Absolutely certain it’s not me
Who’s weeping rain…
