Into The Still Water Poem by Mohammad Younus

Into The Still Water

Into the still water,
I watch ripples stirred by wind,
Chasing one another toward infinity,
Like serpents slithering.
Each one grows, widening on its own,
Reaching out, longing to touch the shore.

The ripples of our lives
Expand likewise—
Each day moving closer
To where time ends.
As each moment slips away, disappearing,
Let us cherish every breath, every touch—
For every moment once lived
Is forever gone.

So, may the ripples of our lives
Bring love, peace, and wonder
To each day we live.
May our past flow gently
Into memory's archive,
While we climb upwards,
Moment by moment.
And may the ripples we create and share,
In our future's unfolding,
Be the prelude.
