Rating: 2.8

*Lean into the dark, to somehow see the light*

I am the demon, I am the tempest
I am the faltering voice in song
I have no allegance, or devotion
I am neither weak in mind, nor strong

I can make you feel wanted
and I can make you feel your shame
I can make the rain fall down on you
throught sunlight all the same

I care not for your cries of mercy
but I do in fact feel love
I am the demon, I am the tempest
and I fly in like a black dove

you see the juxtaposition?
you see the blinding wrath?
to feel neither happy or sad
confused by the fork that is my path

for this I do unto myself
and yes, you slowly see
I am the demon, I am the tempest
all of this is me...

I love this. I has to be one of the better poems I have read so far on this site. It's good to see some talent. Excellent. Well done.
