Invisible Foes Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Invisible Foes

Invisible foe, you lurk in the shade,
Hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike,
In silence, you plot, your plans unbraid,
Your presence, unnoticed, yet so alike.

You creep into lives, without a trace,
Infecting minds and poisoning hearts,
Spreading your venom, with such seamless grace,
Tearing us apart, breaking us apart.

You have no face, no form, no tangible shape,
But your power is strong, your hold so tight,
You bring victims down, and we can't escape,
You keep your victims in darkness, devoid of light.

But we will rise, and fight against your grasp,
For we are strong, and courage we'll unmask.
We'll stand together, our hands tightly held,
And with each other, we'll find our strength
