Irony Poem by timothy hawkes

Irony

This may be the last i write, it seems reality caught up tonight
im lost and blind with no more fight i fought the battle of right and was wrong
a dwindeling light can only flicker for so long, i figured i exist so i must belong
only to find a bitter answer; a cold hand reaching a black voice screaching the forbidden fruit i long to taste an overwhelmed soul unbecoming what is
what breathes
what fears
what was
what i am unable to comprehend
