Is It Completely Gone? Poem by alectra griffis

Is It Completely Gone?

Are we even safe?
In this world full of fear.
'I can't breathe' 'I can't breathe'
But they swore they did not hear.

They say race was not the issue,
But did the white cops grab a tissue?
Innocent people buried in the ground,
And their parents screaming 'Sweetie I miss you.'

Discrimination is real,
Because they do not see the wrong,
Do you believe theres any love left,
Or is it completely gone?
