Is it necessary to write anymore?
Haven't I written enough that no one else will read
Or find meaningful?
Is it necessary to try still to be
What I will never be?
One of the truly chosen ones?


I am a human being
An old one
I have to try and keep going
For as long as I can as best as I can
Not only for myself
But for those who care about me

Writing gives
Meaning and hope to my life
Despite my knowing my failure

I write to survive
And so I go on now
