Is Love Enough? Poem by Tina Baaklini

My tender love,

Sometimes I wonder:
Is love enough to sustain a healthy
Love relationship?

Love is the seed we sow in our hearts
Yet, the seed needs water and care
To germinate, become a bud and flourish

In hot weathers, it needs more water
In stormy weathers, it needs more care
Thus is love, anything taken care of
Grows and flourishes

As the seed would not grow
Without appropriate care
Love doesn't flourish
without mutual watering
And care by both partners

Honesty, loyalty, harmony
Tenderness, faithfulness
Are all vital elements
In any solid relationship

So the success of a love relationship
Falls on both partners

I thank you for being the rock and the hero
That safeguarded our love relationship
I pray God to help me compensate to you
All the great sacrifices you did for me
And for our soulful love
