ISN’T IT NECESSARY TO THANK GOD
Isn’t it necessary to thank God
When after morning prayer
One goes out into the world
And sees the trees and the flowers
And the sky,
And knows-
No matter how difficult
the day to come-
It has begun with
Light and Joy and Beauty.
