Isolation Poem by Tyler Jakeway

Isolation

Rating: 4.0

Can you ever find strength in loneliness,

I see this world is a bunch of phoniness,

so withdrawn from others on a different wavelength,

as my psyche plunges beyond the depths,

I'm forced to adapt,

we all are at some point,

going to face obstacles,

that's just how the cards unravel to bring chaos,

While others have a shoulder to lean on.

Can you ever find power in isolation, surrounded by walls with thick insulation,

it depends on the situation, overreacting robotically to events that give rise to melancholy.

Isolation breeds the perfect grounds,

that will either turn you into a resilient juggernaut,

or into a pile of depressed madness,

crushing your soul into desolation,

yet it could very well mold you into an extremely enthusiastic learner about life.

My outside is quiet, inside you wouldn't believe how loud it is, nowhere close to silent, constant analysis, my brain is in a state of paralysis,

who knows,

I could be a powerful alchemist.

The search for meaning,

has got me ripping my hair out screaming,

the only peace I get is when I'm sleeping,

Existential dread and anxiety constantly being fed,

by just experiencing human condition,

the one and only limited edition,

the purpose of life is fundamentally meaningless without knowing what's behind,

and causing this experience.

Authentic people are rare,

hard to find those that really care,

where the small details matter, along with other values. You can't choose an answer for me, my concerns have been with me for a lifetime,

imagine if this is all a simulation,

how can I accept that this life is,

full of bittersweet stimulation.
