It Is A Gruesome Job Poem by Hebert Logerie

It Is A Gruesome Job

It is a gruesome job to identify
So many innocent little bodies
Such a sad massacre boggles the mind
To see the execution of so many healthy babies
Such criminal and sickening events defy
The raison d'être and prove how unkind
And brutal the devils can be at times
They kill for pleasure, for pennies and dimes
This is an unspeakable crime, an unthinkable tragedy
This is sad beyond belief; this is torturing humanity.

Death is always abrupt and painful
The passing of a love one is hurtful
The massacre of our children is dreadful
There are no words to express the full
Impact of such a pounding to the heart
The arbitrary execution of so many God's children
Is beyond belief, it is the worst pain
That one can imagine, it is the worst feeling
That one can sustain, it is having the rope suffocating
The body, the soul, the mind and the spirit
It is a gruesome job to identify so many little feet
Of so many beautiful people. Oh! God in your heaven
Please accept with open arms all of your beautiful children.
