It is not that I do not wish
to be my True Self—I do—
but hesitation lingers,
a quiet resistance, tugging me back.
I do not wish to set my hopes too high,
nor my fears too great,
for I see, I believe, I know—
My Creator promised me,
placed me on this earth
to journey through vast lands,
seas, and oceans,
not away from Him,
but toward my truest essence.
At times, I wonder
who this perfect self is.
I will always see him
as divine, as perfect,
no matter the illusions
this world may offer.
A traveler may grow weary,
but surmounting obstacles,
I press on,
to listen within,
to draw closer to the truth.
My True Self will read
from the book of wisdom,
a gift bestowed upon humanity
millennia ago.
I will listen with intent,
rest my soul beside him,
as he speaks, and I shall hear—
hear with open ears,
eyes fixed on the truth.
I will speak,
as one whispers to a beloved,
talk for hours—
for this golden opportunity
I shall not let go.
Blessed with a sea of wisdom,
my True Self shall bring me
pearls of insight.
For my True Self is whole and independent,
the divine will alive in me.
